We would recommend that you assess the market conditions before setting up any trades. The average small-to-medium investor could trade up to 10 times a day. However, as there are no commissions for CFD trading, you can take long or short positions as often as you like, without fretting over undue transaction costs.

You will keep your position on until, 1.) You gain profits from your position; 2.) Your stop-loss is triggered; or, 3.) Another position with greater advantage comes up.

The best way to boost your confidence is for you to open a Demo Account. That way, you will get a feel of what it’s like to trade, without any risk or obligation.

Forex trading begins each day in Sydney, and advances around the globe as the business day resumes first to Tokyo, then London, and New York. Unlike any other financial market, investors can trade based on currency fluctuations caused by economic, social and political events at the time they occur - day or night. The market is open 24/5.

Crude Oil is a petroleum product widely used in energy production and manufacturing and its price has a far-reaching impact on the global economy. Two of the main classifications for crude oil are US Oil, referred to as West Texas Intermediate (WTI) and UK Oil, or Brent Blend. Oil prices are significantly influenced by the balance of supply and demand. If production levels surpass consumption demand, then inventories are said to "build" whereby the excess supply can be stored and vice versa. Sentiment in the financial markets also tends to play a major role in the price of Oil.

Gold is a popular safe haven trade. Many investors look to the precious metal as a hedge against inflation and storage of value. Gold prices fluctuate based on the performance of the overall global economy measured by GDP, Inflation, Employment statistics and Interest Rates. The fiscal policies of some of the largest Central Banks of the world also affect the price of Gold. Supply/ Demand as well as financial market sentiment are other factors investors should take into consideration when trading the yellow metal.

Silver is also considered to be a safe-haven investment. The price of Silver is affected by many of the same factors as Gold – Rate of Inflation, GDP and Interest Rates as well as the monetary policies of the larger Central Banks in the world. To a certain extent, supply/demand factors tend to play a greater role in Silver's price fluctuations than in Gold's due to its comparative lack of market liquidity.

In the financial markets, an Index is a hypothetical portfolio of securities representing a particular market or a part of it. For an index the percentage change is more significant than the real numeric value.
